Moleskin has been used periodically ever since, most\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003enotably in the French Army jackets of the 40's and 50's, and in shirts and jackets in the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e70's. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eMoleskin is a fabric that is rarely seen today and is not widely available. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eWe wanted to bring back this fabric which is highly sought after by vintage collectors. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eWe were not satisfied by merely reproducing this vintage material, so in true Kato form, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003ewe made a few subtle adjustments to further improve durability, comfort, and finish. The \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003ethread count and density of the fabric was increased to improve durability. This higher \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003etension also gives the finish of the Moleskin a deeper luster that will enhance the unique\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eaging qualities of this jacket.
